Start mode: Direct KeroseneAfter 10 years of production of the M160, it was time for a full upgrade. The new engine has received a state of the art, all new electronics package, the M200 has received the new XBUS system, integrated valves, brushless starter motor and brushless pump. Sensors and valves are installed inside the engine, further simplifying installation.
The engine has a single fuel input directly from the pump, and a 3-wire electrical connection to the ecu that carries the battery power and a bidirectional digital bus. All engine data is transmitted to the ecu in a digital data format, using a high speed proprietary protocol specially developed for this application. The bus design allows a distance up to 15meters from engine to ecu while keeping the generated noise by the bus to a very low level to not affect other devices nor to be affected by them. All engine parameters and timers are stored within the engine, installation parameters (radio settings, etc) are stored in the External ecu, enabling the swap of the engine without any adjustment. One engine can now be relocated in multiple airframes, additional Pump and External ECU are the only additions needed.
